Minor/Major Scales:
In learning how to transpose minor and major scales I am catching on to it very quickly. It is nice that we are only doing one major and one minor a week. The way that Ms. Chase is explaining the scales is very easy to learn. I am feeling good overall about learning this material.
Major/Minor Relationship:
Major and minor scales share the same key signature. The major scale is used to find the starting not, or the tonic, of the minor scale. The sixth note of the major scale is the tonic for the minor scale. For example, in Concert Bb the sixth note is A, so A is your starting note for Concert g minor.

Concert g minor (no #, no b): A, B, C, D, E, F, G, A

Concert c minor (1b): D, E, F, G, A, Bb, C, D

Scales Reflection:
In this round of Smart Music, I had to play six of the scales listed above. I did very well on this assignment and got a 100% on everything. When I first saw these scales I wasn't to worried because I have a pretty good memory and have learned about scales before so I knew a little bit about what we were learning. I know all of these scales pretty well, but the ones that are newer to my memory, I have to look up every once and a while.
Trumpet Transposition:
Go up 2 half steps from the concert pitch and that is the note.
